Amy Pratsides
Amy Pratsides is Creative Director and CMO of KK London, which she owns with Alexis Pratsides. She decides what gets drawn and in what colour, and she writes about style here.
Before KK London, Amy spent five years as Group Resourcing Manager for Jaeger and Aquascutum, appointing the senior people who ran two of Britain's oldest fashion houses. She worked directly with Harold Tillman, then Jaeger's chairman and majority shareholder, and with the design teams at every level of the business. Five years of sitting with designers, understanding what each team needed before she could hire for it, is an unusual education in how a heritage brand decides what to put its name on.
Since then she has raised a family and built a PR business of her own, which she still runs alongside KK London.
She writes the style side of this journal: trends worth following and trends worth ignoring, how to wear a print without it wearing you, and what a colour is actually doing in an outfit. The technical pieces, on materials, protection and which case fits which phone, are written by Alexis.
