Alexis Pratsides

Alexis Pratsides is CEO and CTO of KK London, which he owns with Amy Pratsides. He runs the production side and builds the software behind it.

Every design in the range has to become a case cut for each of the 32 iPhone models KK London makes, with the camera opening in the right place to a fraction of a millimetre. That work is measurement rather than judgement: each model's camera module is measured against that phone's own dimensions, and the print file is built to the print area the case actually has. It is the unglamorous half of a phone case, and it is the half that decides whether one looks right in the hand.

He writes the technical pieces in this journal: what cases are made of and how those materials behave, why clear cases yellow, whether a case blocks your signal, and how to work out which model you have. The style side is written by Amy.
